    Background: One of the associated conditions seen in HIV patients is PN which is a relatively common neurologic disorder with subvariants involving the sensory, motor somatic and motor autonomic pathways, being the distal symmetric PN the most frequently seen PN subtype presents length-dependent symptoms because the longest nerves are affected first and sensory-predominant plus sensory-motor signs. Human Herpes viruses (HHV) are double-stranded DNA viruses able to cause a wide range of clinical manifestations, from vesicular rashes to malignant disorders.
