  Background and aim: The COVID-19 pandemic has negatively affected all sections of society, including medical staff. Based on a review study, the aim of this study was to look at the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on surgical residents, educational process, surgical, and mental health components. Material and methods: The results of this study were based on the method of review studies. To conduct this study, a systematic search of international databases including Web of Science, Science Direct, Scopus, PubMed, and Google Scholar between 2000 and 2021 was first performed using related keywords.
